Payzone Ireland Executive Team

The Ireland Executive Team comprises of: 

Jim Deignan (Managing Director)

Jim has over 20 years experience in the Computer, Telecommications and Electronic Payment Industries where he has held a number of senior positions. He is qualified in Finance and Technology via Trinity College.  He has considerable experience in Corporate Development, Strategy and Operational Execution.

He joined Payzone Ireland as Managing Director in 2002 working with many of our key clients in expanding their brand presence within the fast moving consumer goods sector and positioning Payzone Ireland as the leading payments network in the market.

Eric O’Connor (Finance Director)

Eric has over 25 years experience in the Mobile, Telecommunications and Electronic Payment Industries.

He has been with the Group since 2002 and prior to this he spent 16 years working for Motorola Ireland in various Financial roles covering Joint Ventures, Distribution and Manufacturing Operations.

He is a fellow member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland.

Olivia is responsible for Business Development and Marketing at Payzone.  Olivia has been with the company since 1997 and has worked with several key partners in developing products and services for the company that fit with the Payzone brand.  During her time at Payzone, Olivia has also worked for some time in the Swedish office.

A Business Studies graduate from the University of Limerick, Olivia also holds a Masters in Business Studies from Michael Smurfit Business School, Dublin.

Gary Dent (Head of Operations)

Gary Comes from an Engineering background and has considerable experience in the Payments Industry delivering a consistent high quality service to the Payzone network including working closely with key clients and providers. Since joining the business in 2000 Gary has worked in various positions within the Operations Team and has been instrumental in bringing leading technology to the Payzone estate.

Barry Keegan (Head of Sales)

Since joining the business in 2002, Barry has held numerous sales roles within Payzone. Today, Barry is responsible for our key revenue lines and drives the sales team to deliver solutions and new products to our retailers while at the same time developing relationships with key accounts and other retail partners.

Barry holds an Advanced Diploma in Marketing and a BSc in Management awarded through Trinity College.

Dave Flynn (Commercial Manager)

Dave has over 20 years’ experience in the Telecoms, Personal Computing and Technology sectors. He brings a wide range of management experience to his role heading up our Commercial/Contracts team.
