Payzone’s bill payment service allows retail outlets to collect payments and prepayments for utility companies and other organisations providing consumers with a flexible and convenient location to pay their bills.

Operating this service across the UK, Ireland, Romania and Greece via the Payzone brand, Payzone’s bill payment solution provides retailers with an opportunity to generate significant additional footfall in to their stores whist earning a commission on each transaction processed through the terminal.

Consumers have the option of either paying their bill in full or making a prepayment for a range of major utility and service companies including British Gas, Eircom, Scottish Water and Powergen.

In partnership with our utility clients Payzone have developed a variety of technologies used to facilitate payment collection including bar-coded bills, magnetic swipe cards, smart keys, encoded tokens and keypad technology. All payment technologies are supported by a Payzone terminal and our expertise in this area ensures that we can support any technology in use today.

With cash based payments becoming an increasingly popular method of payment within the sector, Payzone’s bill payment service opens up a new revenue stream for retailers as consumers choose to use the Payzone network for its flexibility in terms of locations and extended opening hours.
