Greystones Sharks Basketball

Greystones Sharks Basketball Club is a community basketball club based in County Wicklow, providing a fun and social environment for children and adults to play basketball in committed competitive and development teams. With it being one of the fastest growing basketball clubs in Wicklow, so too are its administrative demands to manage memberships, events and communications.

Greystones Sharks implemented Payzone’s online payment platform in 2024 and today the club uses Payzone to:

• Collect annual membership fees
• Sell club merchandise
• Manage event registrations and camp bookings
• Process online payments securely
• Access reports on payments and members
• Simplify day-to-day administration

By bringing these activities together in one place, the committee spends less time managing payments and more time supporting members and growing the club.

Payzone and NPAS: The solution

NPAS implemented Payzone’s online payment platform in 2015 and has continued to grow alongside the platform for more than 11 years.

Today they use Payzone to:

• Manage student enrolments 
• Collect course and class payments 
• Create new classes and services 
• Personalise student accounts 
• Communicate with parents via email and SMS
• Manage seasonal programmes such as Summer Camps 
• Sell additional products and services online.

Because the platform can be managed by their own administrative team, new classes, payment options, student accounts etc can be created, amended or deleted without requiring technical support.

The result

Payzone has become an important administrative tool for Greystones Sharks, helping streamline the management of a fast-expanding club.
Instead of relying on multiple payment methods and manual administration, the committee manages all incoming payments and registrations through one easy-to-use platform.
The intuitive interface simplifies everyday administration, while Payzone’s responsive customer support provides reassurance whenever questions arise.
Members can pay in full or in instalments, making larger payments for camps or memberships more affordable to members and entices new members to join.

• Questions: Ability to ask members any relevant questions when paying (e.g., “Is your child already a member of Greystones Sharks?”
• Payment Requests: Send a simple payment link to clients who owe money
• Reporting: Summary and detailed reports for:  payments, member registration data, event/camp attendee details, bank reconciliation, owing members, etc.
